Significance of Yajurveda Upakarma: The purpose of this Upakarma ritual is to offer prayers and express the gratitude to sages who gave the knowledge of Vedas and revealed Vedic Mantras to the human beings. In early days, this day signified the start of Veda Study that will continue over six months. Due to the pandemic, this year the Upakarma is being conducted online by many organizations and individuals.
2nd International River Summit 2019, November 28-30, Prayagraj, India
Participated as a speaker and a guest of honor at this global event related to river and water management. The event was organized by the collaborative efforts of the River Water Users Association (India)- Institute of Rural Development and Research (IRDRA) and the International River Basin Foundation for Action on Sustainable Development for Water Security, Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security. The event was conducted at the National Institute of Sciences in Prayagraj (Allahabad), India.

To strengthen the engagement of the overseas Indian community with India and reconnect them with their roots, the Government of India is organizing the 15th PBD Convention on January 21-23, 2019 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Rivers and Renewable Energy, Philippines, November 2018
Hindus worship the five elements. Rivers are really Givers. The Sun and the Wind are essential to sustaining life. At the invitation of the 4th International River Summit, (Guruji) Sundaresan Subramanian spoke at this event held in Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu (Dec 22-24, 2018) on ‘Rivers and Renewable Energy: The Water-Energy Nexus.”
Later, he served as a key faculty member at the “Water and Renewable Energy Summit” at The Mansion in Iloilo sponsored by the City and Province of Iloilo, Philippines. The organisers presented him an award of recognition.

The Double H Retreat for Health and Happiness Concludes on December 28, 2018
This first-time 4-day retreat held at Punyakshetram, near Kumbakonam, South India was a great success. Participants came from different parts of India including Maharashtra and Kerala. Participants thoroughly enjoyed the morning visits to many temples and the lectures in the evenings aimed at learning more on Sanatana Dharma. Some of the participants had a dip in the holy Cauvery river. The program concluded with a grand lunch.
